Journal Entry
Dear Journal,
I've crated this "journal" to be able to communicate to the outside world with my experience and what I have learned about the Egyptian Culture. Life in Egypt is always so noisy but interesting to be in. Everywhere I go there would be little shops selling food, or clothing and other things to people, as well as the less fortunate trying to collect money for food, dorm others. The day I arrived in Egypt I was pretty taken backed by all the people around me. It is very crowded and there aren't much rules to driving. I have to admit it was difficult to adapt at first, but I didn't let anything get into my way. I decided to go out and explore. The first thing was get breakfast. I went to to a stand that was selling something called "Roz bel Laban" which was rice and milk. I loved it, I didn't think it would taste as good as it did, but before I came here I made a promise that I would try as much as i can and be open minded. I did some sight seeing for a couple of hours and learned a lot more about the Ancient Egyptian History and Culture. At around 1:30, I came a cross someone that was selling something called "Foul". That was Fava Beans that were seasoned, then mashed up and put into a sandwich. It was very tasty. After I got some food, went to look at the pyramids. By the time I was done, I got pretty hungry, so I decided to go into a really nice and fancy restaurant. The food there was amazing and I couldn't stop eating until I almost exploded from eating so much. I ate some Kabab and Kofta which is really great tasting meat, with some Koshary and vine leaves stuffed with rice. After dinner, I was to stuffed to do anything,so I went to bed and had a long nice sleep, so I could survive the next day. Overall, the first day was the craziest but also very fun, and just learning about the very interesting History and Culture in this country.
Sincerely, Me.
